WRITERS will be at Dedham's James Joyce Ramble on Sunday, April 30th. The literature-themed 10K features excerpts from Joyce's works; the excerpts are read aloud by actors along the race route. The Ramble is truly a one-of-a-kind event for those who love literature and running. Please come and visit our exhibitor booth to read some of our patient-created books, and to meet some of our young authors.

The writing program, and Sam Galette's piece How to Deal with Sickle Cell, were recently featured on CBS Boston. Sam's mother, Margela, and all of Sam's siblings have also been hard at work creating their own book: Family Perspectives—The Impact of a Child's Chronic Illness. The Galette family's piece, like Sam's book, offers practical tips and strategies for children and families coping with chronic illness.
